Location: Burbank, CA Testing, 1,2,3…testing. This is the position that will put those words to good use. Insomniac Games is looking for a QA Engineer to work with our Core Dept, to write software programs that run quality assurance procedures to test the functionality and integrity of pre-released versions of software. In other words, to test things out before everyone else in the studio gets their hands on things. Keep reading if this sounds like the spot for you. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tests software code. Develop and execute test plans on pre-release and current versions of software. Identify problem areas of product software. Solves issues with hardware with internal systems. Reviews product documentation for readability and accuracy. Keeps Core team informed of reported issues and potential issues. Supports the development of enhanced tools. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages. Adaptive coding style. Other Skills: Attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as member of a team. Strong Ability to write and adapt to bug format provided. To perform this job successfully, one must be able to provide clear and understandable steps in their bugs/reporting.
