I think this is very exciting news: http://tinyurl.com/4y9ep27. Yes, OnLive has officially announced that cloud gaming will be coming to your mobile tablet device. As an owner of an iPad 2, and even an OnLive TV console, which I bought off of eBay for 50 bucks, I am a little excited, but mostly skeptical.

Games tend to need to be made specifically for the iPad control scheme (touch) for them to work well. I understand there will be a virtual game pad on the screen, but somehow I am still skeptical if it will be easy to play a AAA title this way. Not to mention the fact that you're running it via a wireless connection to your LAN, which must have at least a 10 mbits internet connection for decent gameplay.

I hope it works out actually. I think cloud gaming is the way of the future personally (and the CEO of Crytek apparently agrees with me), but the verdict is still out.
