2D Artist, Backflip Studios

Location: Boulder, CO

Backflip Studios is looking for a highly talented 2D illustrator with 3D modeling experience.   

We're a mobile game app developer and publisher located in Boulder CO. Majority owned by Hasbro, this partnership leverages our expertise and Hasbro's deep library of intellectual property.

A 2D Artist creates a variety of game assets, from concepts to background, icons, characters, and more. Collaborating with developers and other artists, you will balance creativity with a practical flexibility in creating compelling content that reflects the game style.

The right candidate will be a detail oriented, creative self starter with a  solution oriented outlook.  You should have the ability to apply feedback and  demonstrate artistic adaptability.  

This role requires the following skills and experience:

  • 3 years experience as a professional illustrator

  • 3D modeling experience (Maya or 3DS Max)

  • Master proficiency in Adobe CC

  • Experience in Unity or Unreal

  • We prefer a game developer background with the familiarity of processes and practices

  • If you have mobile experience, that's the icing on the cake!

This position is based at our office in Boulder, CO.  Relocation assistance is available.
