3D Artist - Titanfall MobileParticle City

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Particle City is a mobile game development studio co-founded by industry veterans Larry Pacey and Respawn CEO Vince Zampella. Backed by Respawn Entertainment and NEXON Co Ltd, Particle City is co-located with Respawn in Los Angeles. We’re currently focused on bringing the expansive sci-fi universe of Titanfall to mobile platforms worldwide.

At Particle City, our mission is to connect gamers through community and competition. An idea simple at its core, but when approached from a fresh perspective, we are forging a new generation of mobile gaming.

Welcome to the world of Titanfall! Bolts, rivets, polygons, and UVs are all prepped and ready for installation. Please bring a passion for science fiction worlds and a can do attitude, we will supply the tools.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

●     Works with Production to ensure time estimates are accurate and achievable.

●     Work closely with the Art and Design teams to ensure visual targets are met or exceeded for art assets.

●     Sculpt high-resolution models and supporting props.

●     Build clean, optimized game models, and assemble them in a real-time editor with complex lighting setups.

●     Evaluate new art tools or workflows and communicate recommendations to the rest of the team.

●     Strong organizational and collaboration skills.

●     Actively participate in technical and visual problem-solving discussions.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

●        Self-motivated individual who is able to push the product vision forward in art.

●        Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical challenges in the art pipelines.

●        Expert in Maya and Photoshop.

●        Ability to rapidly master development tools and pipelines.

●        Take a concept and plan out its construction.

●        Exceptional hard surface and organic modeling skills.

●        A high level of Zbrush knowledge and how to sculpt strong clear forms.

●        Clean and efficient poly modeling for games.

●        Strong UV packing and optimization.

●        Texture painting in support of advanced real time shaders.

●        Modular thinking and an affinity for squeezing value out of every last polygon.

●        Natural curiosity and a strong desire to grow as an artist.

●        Collaborative focus and an understanding of how to take feedback and use it to fuel new ideas.

●        Passion for games and a drive to make them great.
