Celebrated sound designer Jory Prum has passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
The veteran audio engineer helped create a number of critically-acclaimed titles in a career that spanned close to two decades.
Prum's first major break saw him join the LucasArts' sound team in January 1999. During his two year stint with the studio, Prum worked on every single Star Wars: Episode I video game, and had a hand in most other titles published between early 1999 and the start of 2001.
Prum eventually left LucasArts to set up his own recording studio, and would go on to create sound effects, record voiceovers and music, and mix cutscenes for much-loved titles including Knights of the Old Republic, The Walking Dead, Broken Age, The Wolf Among Us, and Grim Fandango Remastered.
Outside of video games, Prum also worked on number of acclaimed feature films, such as Lost in Translation, Adaptation, and the Academy Award-winning Pixar short film, For The Birds.
News of Prum's passing was confirmed on social media by friends and colleagues. Tributes have been pouring in ever since.
Jory Prum touched many lives with his talent & kindness. LucasArts to Broken Age & Grim Remastered, we couldn't have done it without him. :(

Can't believe Jory Prum is gone. An incredible guy who brought laughter and warmth to everyone who stepped into his studio. Tragic stuff.
