Nival's upcoming strategy title Prime World will offer special considerations for female players, including cheaper microtransactions and incentives for male gamers to team up with them. The developer says that it wants to introduce the League of Legends-style game and the MOBA genre (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) "not only to hardcore players who already love it, but to their friends who might be more casual, and of course to their sisters and girlfriends who may not be as hardcore," according to Penny Arcade Report. Along with female players paying less than their male counterparts to purchase virtual characters in Prime World, they'll also be able to improve teams they join, as mixed-gender teams are given bonuses in the game (players must use a character with the same gender as their own). Prime World will release for PC, and will have social activities and minigames playable on Facebook, iOS, and Android -- the game is able to check on players' genders through their Facebook accounts. Nival will consider adding more gender-based bonuses after seeing how players take to these initial elements.
