Gaijin Games has announced that its collection of Bit.Trip titles will make their way to the Nintendo 3DS in a single retail package dubbed Bit.Trip Saga. Published by Aksys Games, the collection will include all six games from the popular indie series, adding new 3D effects to support the platform's stereoscopic screen. The announcement provided no clarification regarding how the motion-based Bit.Tip Beat will play when using the handheld's 3D functionality, but simply pointed out that the game would have "ultra-precise controls." The Bit.Trip series covers a wide range of game genres, from rhythm games to platformers, and all of the titles feature a distinct retro-inspired visual style. Recently, Bit.Trip Runner received an award for Excellence in Visual Art at the 2011 Independent Games Festival Awards at this year's GDC, and Bit.Trip Beat secured a nomination for Excellence in Audio. Gaijin and Aksys have yet to announce a target release window for the Bit.Trip Saga collection.
