A group of former Call of Duty design veterans has formed a new studio in Los Angeles, with a focus on creating experiences for virtual reality devices. Reload Studios consists of 12 staffers, including Taehoon Oh, previously lead artist at Infinity Ward, Pete Blumel, a former producer at Infinity Ward, and Hougant Chen, an ex-senior software engineer at Infinity Ward. Reload says that it is driven by a passion for exploring the possibilities of VR in video games, with Oh noting, "Just as smartphones changed the way we live our lives, I am sure VR will change the way people experience media content." The ream is currently working on a first-person shooter for VR, mobile and next-gen consoles, due for release in 2015.
