Namco Bandai and From Software's Dark Souls, released just a month ago, has shipped 1.5 million units worldwide. The game was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the start of October in the U.S. and Europe, and two weeks before that in Japan. Namco Bandai revealed the figure today, reports Andriasang, along with a region-by-region breakdown, showing the total number of units shipped in each area. North America saw the highest number of units shipped, with 620,000 units in total, followed by Europe with 470,000 units shipped. The game has shipped 370,000 units in Japan, while Asia, which received the game midday through October, saw a total of 40,000 units shipped. Note that the game is published by From Software in Japan, and is only available on PS3 in that region, rather than both PS3 and Xbox 360.
