Warner Bros. Interactive and Day 1 Studios' horror-inspired shooter F.E.A.R. 3 has slipped out of its May launch window and will now release this June in North America and Europe, according to Destructoid. With this delay, the game will now launch on June 21 in North America, and June 27 in Europe. Warner did not provide any reasons for pushing back the game's release. F.E.A.R. 3 is the first mainline entry in the series developed by Day 1 Studios, which has previously contributed to the series by bringing Monolith's F.E.A.R. 1 to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. F.E.A.R. 3 will add a new cooperative mode to the franchise, and will continue the single-player storyline established by the Monolith-developed entries in the series. Other entries in the series include F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, developed by TimeGate Studios when Sierra Entertainment and later Activision Blizzard held the rights to the F.E.A.R. name.
