Former Fallout series producer and designer and Troika co-founder Tim Cain has left WildStar developer Carbine Studios to join Fallout: New Vegas creator Obsidian Entertainment.
Former Fallout series producer and designer Tim Cain has left WildStar developer Carbine Studios to join Obsidian Entertainment, reports Rock Paper Shotgun. In addition to helping create the Fallout franchise, Cain also co-founded the now-shuttered Troika Games, known for its PC role-playing titles like Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. In 2005, Cain joined MMO developer Carbine Studios, and in 2008 he became the design director for the studio's recently-announced WildStar. According to Cain's LinkedIn and Facebook profile, he will now serve as senior programmer at Obsidian. Obsidian, founded in 2003, has worked on titles including Fallout: New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. Currently, the studio's only announced project is a video game adaptation of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books, co-developed by Red Eagle Games.
