LittleBigPlanet 3 developer Sumo Digital will open a second UK studio in Nottingham in March this year.
The new opening will become Sumo's third global studio, and will work in tandem with the developer's Sheffield and India offices on a number of upcoming projects.
After bringing over a select group of newly hired employees and staff from its Sheffield HQ, Sumo is now actively recruiting to grow the Nottingham team to 50 people in the first 12 months.
Sumo CEO, Carl Cavers, says the Nottingham studio represents the company's desire to "explore new opportunities across consoles, PC, mobile, and VR."
For the time being, however, Sumo will continue to work on a range of triple-A titles including Crackdown 3.
