Newsbrief: It's been just a few months since its debut, but Mojang's Android-based Minecraft: Pocket Edition has now sold more than 700,000 copies, said company employee Daniel Kaplan via Twitter. These numbers bode quite well for the app, especially considering it currently bears a (relatively hefty) price tag of $6.99 on the Android Market. Minecraft: Pocket Edition first launched in August as a timed exclusive for Sony's Xperia Play, and debuted on additional Android devices near the end of September. By comparison, Mojang's flagship version of Minecraft recently reached 4 million units sold.
