Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter 3G, released earlier this month in Japan for Nintendo 3DS, has shipped over one million units in total. Released on December 10, the game is an expanded version of Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii, and the first 3DS title to utilize the new Circle Pad accessory. During its launch weekend, Monster Hunter 3G sold over half a million copies, making it the fastest-selling 3DS title to date. The game's launch led to the 3DS console also seeing one of its best-selling weeks ever. The latest title in the Monster Hunter series shows no signs of slowing down, having now shipped over one million units in Japan, according to Andriasang. Overall, the Monster Hunter franchise has sold over 20 million units across all releases and platforms since its inception in 2004, including 3 million sales this year alone.
