Newsbrief: Patrick Redding, previously Ubisoft's game director on Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Conviction, and narrative designer on Far Cry 2, has left the company to join Warner Bros. Games Montreal. The industry veteran, who spent nearly 10 years at Ubisoft's Toronto and Montreal studios, and most recently gave a talk at GDC on letting players suffer occasional setbacks in games, left Ubisoft recently, as spotted by superannuation. He's now creative director for Warner Bros. Games Montreal, which most recently worked on Batman: Arkham Origins, and is now putting together MMORPG Lego Legends of Chima Online.
