A lawsuit against pop star Beyonce Knowles, in which a game developer claimed that the singer dropped out of an agreement to develop a game based around her persona, has been settled. Development studio Gate Five alleged back in 2011 that while working on music game Starpower: Beyonce, the singer demanded more favorable compensation terms "at a crucial moment in the project's development," driving away the game's financing before pulling out of the project in breach of the original agreement. As a result, the company sought to recover $6.7 million in direct investment in the project, as well as over $100 million in potential profits from the title. Now the lawsuit has been settled in the Manhattan Supreme Court, reports the New York Post, with Gate Five's lawyer stating that the lawsuit was settled "amicably." "I can’t discuss the terms of the settlement, but it was resolved," he added.
