Newsbrief: Unknown Worlds, the studio behind team-based shooter Natural Selection 2, says that it has stumbled across a new genre of video game while messing around with underwater game prototypes. The studio today teased a new project called Subnautica, which it says combines role-playing, sandbox, exploration and cinematic game elements to create an entirely unique experience. Whether this will truly be the case remains to be seen -- there's only concept art and slithers of a soundtrack to witness as-of-yet -- but given how intriguing Natural Selection 2 ended up being, it looks like a project that's worth following. More information can be found on the Unknown Worlds blog.
