The critically acclaimed title took the top spot in the UK charts in its opening week, according to GfK Chart-Track, and is now the third fastest-selling game of 2013 in the UK after Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite. It was a notable week all around for retail video games sales in the UK, with The Last of Us backed up by the launch of Animal Crossing: New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS, entering the charts at number two.
