Electronic Arts' licensed mobile title The Simpsons: Tapped Out has surpassed $100 million in revenue to date, as reported in EA's quarterly earnings report this afternoon. Developed by EA Mobile and launched in August of 2012 (following an abortive launch earlier that year), the free-to-play title has enjoyed a spot among the U.S.'s top 20 grossing games for iPhone consistently throughout its life to date -- dropping below the top 20 for only 12 days in that span of time, according to EA. Other entries among EA's mobile offerings performed well in the past quarter. Plants vs. Zombies 2, developed by PopCap and released in August of this year, has surpassed 25 million downloads, "more than the lifetime total of the original Plants vs. Zombies." Real Racing 3, launched this past February, has seen 70 million downloads and presently claims 18 million monthly active users.
