Newsbrief: Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have delayed the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot into 2013, from its original fall 2012 release window. Crystal Dynamics head Darrell Gallagher put the delay down to giving the game an extra layer of polish. The game was first revealed at the end of 2010, with the aim to reinvent its famous protagonist Lara Croft with a new origin story explaining her upbringing. With the game now due to be released in the first quarter of 2013, it remains to be seen how this will affect Square Enix's current fiscal year, after the company saw strong retail sales in 2011.
