Uncharted Designer Richard Lemarchand To Keynote 2011 IndieCade Conference

The organizers behind next month's IndieCade gathering of independent game developers have announced a line-up of speakers including keynote speaker and Uncharted designer Richard Lemarchand.

The organizers behind next month's IndieCade gathering of independent game developers have announced a line-up of speakers including keynote speaker and Uncharted designer Richard Lemarchand. Lemarchand's presentation, "Beauty and Risk: Why I Love Indie Games," will keynote a conference that will also include talks from Braid creator Jonathan Blow, Shadow Physics maker Steve Swink, and Canabalt designer Adam Saltsman. The full list of speakers also includes game industry fixtures such as VVVVVV developer Terry Cavanaugh, UC Santa Cruz Center for Games and Playable Media director Jane Pinckard and Kill Screen co-founder and editor Jamin Warren. Now in its fourth year, the IndieCade festival also features previews of many upcoming games from well-known indie developers, as well as sessions including the Experimental Gameplay workshop and Iron Game Designer competition. The event will take place October 6 through 9 in Culver City, CA and includes multiple ticket levels, ranging from free public access to a $195 ticket for access to the entire conference program.
