Unity has opened up submissions for its annual Unity Awards, which are due to be handed out this August at its annual Unite conference, this year taking place in Seattle from August 20 to 22. The awards -- open to Unity projects released between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014 -- cover several categories, from Best Student Project to Best 3D Visual Experience and best overall, a.k.a. the Golden Cube award. This year, the Unity developer community will be able to vote on all of the finalists selected by its nomination committee. General voting will begin in July. Last year, games such as Endless Space, The Room, and Year Walk took home awards. Interested in submitting your game? Check out the official Unity blog post with details on the categories and rules, as well as a link to the submission form.
