3 million copies of Dark Souls III shipped in under two months

The third entry in Bandai Namco's unforgiving action RPG series, Dark Souls III, has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide in under two months.

Newsbrief: The third entry in Bandai Namco's unforgiving action RPG series, Dark Souls III, has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide in under two months. 

According to a press release translated by Gematsu, the game shipped 500,000 copies in Japan and Asia, 1.5 million in North America, and 1 million in Europe. 

Dark Souls III made its debut in Japan on March 24, before going on to launch globally on April 12.

Combined wordwide shipments for the Dark Souls franchise now total over 13 million.
