Nintendo has announced that 3D video capture is coming to its Nintendo 3DS handheld console later this year, allowing users to record stereoscopic 3D video clips. The company revealed the news at a pre-Tokyo Game Show event, stating that a system update will be released for the console this November that will provide the added functionality. Currently, the 3DS can take 3D photos, but cannot record 3D videos. The update will also bring extra content to the 3DS. New StreetPass features are set to be added, with new challenges and games added to the StreetPass Mii Plaza. Along with this system update, Nintendo also revealed major titles that are due to be released for the console in the coming months. A 3DS version of Mario Tennis is on the way, and will be released sometime in 2012. Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing 3DS are also coming next year, along with the delayed Kid Icarus.
