The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
The publisher confirmed today that it intends to publish OtherSide's upcoming spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld, which is expected to ship on PC in the latter half of next year.
Game publisher 505 Games confirmed today that it has cut a deal with Massachusetts-based indie outfit OtherSide Entertainment to publish the studio's upcoming RPG Underworld Ascendant on PC next year.
The project is, notably, a spiritual successor to the venerable Ultima Underworld games developed by Blue Sky Productions/Looking Glass Studios in the early '90s.
OtherSide was cofounded three years ago by experienced Ultima developer Paul Neurath specifically to make Ascendant, and ran a successful Kickstarter campaign that topped out in 2015 at just over $860,000.
The studio has since picked up a coterie of former Ultima devs, including Ultima producer (and veteran game designer) Warren Spector, who is currently leading production on System Shock 3 from the studio's Austin branch.
Incidentally, earlier this year global game publisher Starbreeze invested $12 million into OtherSide as part of a publishing deal for System Shock 3.
