Analytics company App Annie today launched a mobile version of its analytics tracking service, while also updating the web service with new API integration and hourly rankings. App Annie Analytics allows mobile game developers and publishers to analyze metrics for their games, such as downloads, revenues, rankings, ratings, reviews and featured tracking. The company says that by using its analytics program, studios can work out the best way to climb the App Store rankings, and improve their discovery, distribution and marketing. The mobile app, which launched today for free, allows your company to track iOS and Android app data directly from your mobile device (note that the Android version of the app is due to launch later this year). The app details downloads and revenues for your games, in-app purchases with a revenue breakdown for each available, region tracking, App Store reviews and rating, and your game's rank history in the store. To utilize the mobile app, you need to have registered with the App Annie website for free, and connected your App Store publisher account. Meanwhile, App Annie has also upped its analytics API integration, with a series of APIs available to grab that allow developers to pull customized sales information into their own custom databases. And App Annie now also offers hourly rankings on iOS, exclusively for its App Annie Analytics users. Hour-by-hour ranks for any ranked app on the App Store are available. More information about the new App Annie public APIs is available at the official website.
