The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
DJ2 has worked on Sonic The Hedgehog and Tomb Raider: The Animated Series.
Amazon Studios has signed a first look deal with DJ2 Entertainment, a production company that specializes in adapting video games for television and film.
DJ2 is currently working on adaptations of popular game franchises including Life is Strange, Disco Elysium, and It Takes Two, and previously helped develop Sonic The Hedgehog and Tomb Raider: The Animated Series.
The Amazon partnership will see DJ2 produce content exclusively for the company's Prime Video service. Commenting on the move, DJ2 chief exec Dmitri M. Johnson said working with Amazon will allow the company to tell "international gaming stories."
"The DJ2 team has long believed that video games would one day serve as incredible source material for stories told in television and film, and that it was only the lack of love and respect for the artform which previously held successful adaptations back," said Johnson. "It is truly an honor to have Prime Video as our platform partner."
Amazon has made a significant push into the games industry in recent years, launching its own Amazon Games division to develop and publish titles. The company's most recent release, Lost Ark, has attracted over 1.32 million concurrent users on Steam during its first week.
