German online games publisher and developer Bigpoint has announced a partnership with online webgames company Spil Games that will see the studio release a number of its titles via Spil's casual gaming platform. Bigpoint is releasing its virtual zoo simulation game ZooMumba through Spil at the end of this month, opening the title up to over 130 million unique players. Multiple other titles are also being prepared and will be released through Spil over the coming months. Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz noted, "We are thrilled to bring our already very successful game ZooMumba to Spil's platforms." "Spil's community of like-minded gamers is unique in the market, and we will also benefit from Spil's global reach, localized prices around the world and easy handling of the API." "All this will help us to market our games efficiently. We are confident that this cooperation will generate lots of attention for ZooMumba and future releases." Peter Driessen, CEO at Spil Games, explained, "Our two companies will fit together perfectly. I have long admired Bigpoint's innovative work in the world of browser games, and I am very pleased to welcome such a large player to Spil Games' growing social gaming platforms." Bigpoint revealed last month that it had surpassed 200 million registers users in total, doubling its registered user base from 100 million users in less than 18 months.
