Unity Technologies has announced the winners of the 2011 Unity Awards, with the likes of German publisher Bigpoint and developer Mika Mobile taking home awards, while Rochard by developer Recoil took home two awards.

Unity Technologies has announced the winners of the 2011 Unity Awards, with the likes of German publisher Bigpoint and developer Mika Mobile taking home awards. Seven winners were chosen from a selection of 30 finalists, encompassing "some of the best and brightest professional and amateur talent within the video game industry," Unity said in a statement. Companies such as SilverTree Media, Owlchemy Labs and Smart Bomb Interactive had previously been selected as finalists for the competition back in August. Rochard by developer Recoil took home two awards, while Artplant and Bigpoint's MMO Battlestar Galactica Online took home the Community Choice award. The winners of the awards in full are as follows: Student award: GLiD by Spiderling Non-Game award: Virtual History Roma by Mondadori Digital Cross-platform award: Buddy Rush by Sollmo Graphics award: Rochard by Recoil Gameplay award: Rochard by Recoil Grand Prix award: Battleheart by Mika Mobile Community Choice award: Battlestar Galactica Online by Artplant, BigPoint
