Dragon Age frontman Mike Laidlaw took to Twitter today to announce that he's leaving BioWare after 14 years with the company.

He had a significant run, contributing to everything from Jade Empire to Mass Effect as well as the three main Dragon Age games.

He most recently served as creative director on 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition, and it's yet unclear what his plans for the future are beyond playing (and streaming) some games.

"For the near future, I plan to spend my time reconnecting with all the amazing games and worlds that my peers have created," wrote Laidlaw. "I look forward to sharing those experiences with you all on Twitch and Twitter."
