Newsbrief: A Canadian free-to-play startup has attracted more than $2 million in seed funding, with the plan to release its first game at the start of 2014. TinyMob Games, based in Victoria, is Alex Mendelev, Chris Hoefgen and Jamie Toghill, previously Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts and GameHouse veterans. The studio will make games solely for mobile devices, and is currently hiring over at its official website.
