Newsbrief: Crytek bought the rights to the Homefront IP from THQ last year, after the publisher was cut up and sold off. Now Crytek has revealed the future of the franchise, with a new title coming to next-gen consoles next year. Homefront: The Revolution is a shooter follow-up to the original game, which was developed by Kaos Studios, and is due for release next year on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Deep Silver is co-publishing the game. Kaos met its demise back in 2011 after THQ shuttered the studio. Gamasutra has an in-depth investigation into what happened at the company.
