Now Crytek has revealed the future of the franchise, with a new title coming to next-gen consoles next year. Homefront: The Revolution is a shooter follow-up to the original game, which was developed by Kaos Studios, and is due for release next year on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Deep Silver is co-publishing the game. Kaos met its demise back in 2011 after THQ shuttered the studio. Gamasutra has an in-depth investigation into what happened at the company.
