Mobile games company Ngmoco and its Japanese parent company DeNA announced today that the Mobage social games platform for Android has now officially exited beta. With this announcement, the companies say they will now shift their focus away from refining the platform and more toward its overall growth. "The beta period allowed us to test, refine and prove the service, assuring a superb user experience with Mobage and our world-class suite of games," said Ngmoco CEO and DeNA director Neil Young. "We now start the process of scaling the service and it is great to already see our games ranking high in the charts." The companies pointed out that Mobage-enabled titles such as Zombie Farm and Pocket Frogs have since reached the Top 25 chart on the Android Market. There are currently more than 120 mobile games available or in development for Mobage, including Ngmoco's own DragonCraft, Skyfall and We Rule, as well as third-party games from developers like Nimblebit, Backflip Studios, and Rock You Games. Mobage first debuted in English-speaking regions this July, and in August DeNA and Ngmoco announced a partnership with AT&T to help bring the platform to Android phones. The Japanese version of Mobage is one of the top mobile social networks in the region.
