Newsbrief: After a number of setbacks at the Scotland-based independent developer, Denki (Denki Blocks) will finally release its strategy/word game Quarrel to Xbox Live Arcade on January 25. The studio initially announced Quarrel in May 2009 as a "mixture of board game strategy and Scrabble-esque wordplay," intended to release for XBLA some time in 2010. Denki struggled to find a publisher for the multiplayer title, though, and sat on a completed version of it for more than a year During that time, Denki was forced to lay off an undisclosed number of employees as part of a "major restructuring." The company eventually found a publishing partner in UTV Ignition Games, which also released Quarrel's Scottish BAFTA award-winning iOS edition in August 2011.
