Newsbrief: With plenty of space for game developers to break into emerging markets around the world, Electronic Arts today announced that it is bringing special editions of its FIFA series to Brazil and Russia. FIFA World will be a free-to-play, downloadable installment in the franchise that will be available for PC in the aforementioned regions. EA says that both Brazil and Russia are priority markets for the FIFA brand, and building this custom FIFA title will hopefully provide a experience specifically aimed at these PC-centric players. A collection of notable figures who have experience in the Brazilian video game industry recently discussed at length the pros and cons of breaking into Brazil.
