FanDuel targets eSports with AlphaDraft acquisition

Fantasy sports game company FanDuel, which recently hired a group of former Zynga developers, has purchased eSports outfit, AlphaDraft.

Newsbrief: Fantasy sports game company FanDuel, which recently hired a group of fomer Zynga developers, has purchased eSports outfit, AlphaDraft.

As reported by Re/code, FanDuel managed to purchase AlphaDraft for less than its $25 million asking price.

FanDuel's new acquisition will help it go toe-to-toe with rival company, DraftKings, who this week announced plans to stage new video game focused eSports competitions across the U.S. and Canada.
