A group of veteran game devs have risen from the ashes of Activision's former UK mobile studio The Blast Furnace, with the aim to create games for emerging digital markets.

Newsbrief: A group of veteran game devs have risen from the ashes of Activision's former UK mobile studio The Blast Furnace, with the aim to create games for emerging digital markets. Mars on a Stick is Martyn Bramall, Lizi Attwood and Jerr O'Carroll, who have previously worked on franchises like Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty and Tomb Raider. The Northern trio plans to announce its first game in the coming weeks. The Blast Furnace was closed down in March, as Activision could not find a place for it in its evolving business plans.
