Former EA VP Joins German Publisher InnoGames

German browser-based online game developer and publisher InnoGames has announced the appointment of former Electronic Arts executive vice president Dr. Gerhard Florin as its new chairman.

German browser-based online game developer and publisher InnoGames has announced the appointment of former Electronic Arts executive vice president Dr. Gerhard Florin. Florin was previously responsible for marketing and distribution for EA across Western Europe. In his new role as chairman at InnoGames, he will be looking to help the company expand in Europe, the UK and the U.S.. Michael Zillmer, InnoGames managing director and founder, explained, "We are confident that Gerhard’s expertise and contacts will help us continue to grow." Florin added, "InnoGames has grown rapidly. It has a strong market position, especially due to its unique browser based games targeted towards high monetizable core gamers." "InnoGames has a very promising future as a global player, attracting customers all over the world. I am looking forward to being part of that future." Florin is also a chairman on the board of directors at French Facebook game publisher Kobojo, where he focuses on increasing the company's international growth.
