Newsbrief: A trio of former Free Radical and Rare designers have banded together to found a new games studio, focused on developing titles for iOS. Crash Lab is Steve Ellis, originally founder of TimeSplitters studio Free Radical Design, and Martin Wakeley and Lee Musgrave, who were previously designers at Rare, and worked on a string of Nintendo 64 titles including Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini. The team was formed in November last year, and is already working on three iOS titles, two of which are called Twist Pilot and Flying Rocket Defence. It has also "formed partnerships with a diverse range of companies," according to a statement from the studio.
