Former Infinity Ward and Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling has founded a new game development studio, with a focus on nurturing creative talent. Bowling stepped down from his position at Activision last month, and has now revealed his new studio Robotoki in an interview with Game Informer. He believes that the games industry is "falling severely behind" when it comes to inspiring and supporting up-and-coming talent, and that with Robotoki, he aims to create an environment where those with the creative vision have complete control over their work. "We are focused on our team first and everything else second, because I believe as an industry, we have a lot to learn on how to treat talent," he said. Bowling also said that every game from Robotoki will be completely self-funded, and the studio is only interested in partnering with companies who support this model. The studio's first game will be revealed later this year, and is aimed at next-gen consoles, PC, iOS and Android. Bowling said that the mobile version of the game will not mimic the console game, but will instead "be additive to it, not supplemental."
