Former Square Enix, Ubisoft tech director finds new home at Konami

Newsbrief: Square Enix's global technology director Julien Merceron has found a new home at Konami Digital Entertainment, taking up a similar role at the company's new European headquarters. Merceron has previously worked at Square Enix since 2006 -- before that, he was the worldwide technical director at Ubisoft. According to a statement from Konami, Merceron will be in charge of building on Kojima Productions' FOX Engine. Notably, Merceron is part of the GDC advisory board.
