Newsbrief: Online game developer Gazillion Entertainment confirmed to Gamasutra that it plans to shut down its free to play action RPG Fortune Online, which just went into open beta in June 2011. Gazillion said that by shutting down Fortune Online, it hopes to refocus its development efforts on creating new content for Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and developing the upcoming MMO Marvel Heroes. The company confirmed via the game's official website that all users will be refunded for any in-game purchases they have made. The servers are set to go offline on February 29. Gazillion did not clarify whether any employees will be let go during this shift in development focus.
