German media company scores Europe-wide deal with Sony Online Entertainment

Newsbrief: A German media company has significantly grown the presence of its video game subsidiary through a new partnership with MMO creator Sony Online Entertainment. ProSiebenSat.1 Games has obtained Europe-wide exclusive rights to eight of Sony Online's top titles, as well as upcoming software that includes the next game in the EverQuest series. "The games business is one of the most important growth drivers on our path to becoming a digital entertainment powerhouse," said ProSiebenSat.1 Group's Christian Wegner in a statement. "The cooperation agreement with Sony Online Entertainment brings us a big step closer to our goal of becoming one of the top 3 publishers in Europe."
