GungHo looks to break the U.S. by signing Skulls of the Shogun studio

17-BIT, the studio best known for strategy game Skulls of the Shogun, has signed up with the U.S. branch of publisher GungHo Online Entertainment for its next game, Galak-Z: The Dimensional.

Newsbrief: 17-BIT, the studio best known for strategy game Skulls of the Shogun, has signed up with the U.S. branch of publisher GungHo Online Entertainment for its next game, Galak-Z: The Dimensional. While it may seem like a surprising move, GungHo says that it is looking to establish itself as a growing publisher in the U.S., and as such, this new partnership is a stepping stone towards that. GungHo broke into the West with its behemoth mobile game Puzzle & Dragons, and is currently building up towards the launch of Grasshopper Manufacture's PlayStation 4 title Let It Die.
