Video game crowdfunding platform Fig has found another high profile partner, with Harmonix announcing it'll be bringing a mystery title to the new service later this year.

Founded by former Double Fine COO, Justin Bailey, Fig - which differentiates itself from Kickstarter by only hosting two campaigns at a time, while also offering users the chance to invest in games and receive a cut of the sales - has already garnered the support of Double Fine's Tim Schafer, inXile CEO Brian Fargo, and Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian.

The Rock Band developer is planning to launch its as of yet unnamed title via Fig in Q4 2015, and, as part of the partnership, Harmonix CCO Alex Rigopulos will join the company's advisory board.

Indeed, according to Rigopulos, Harmonix opted for Fig over its crowdfunding competitors because it wanted to "offer rewards as well as investment opportunities."

Fig launched back in August with Outer Wilds, an IGF winning space exploration title that's currently amassed $101,000 of its $125,000 goal.
