Newsbrief: Tribes: Ascend developer Hi-Rez Studios plans to invest $10 million in expanding its Georgia-based headquarters, stating that it will create around 30 jobs in the area. Hi-Rez most recently launched Smite last month, a free-to-play MOBA, and has previously dabbled in the online shooter genre. Hi-Rez COO Todd Harris says that Georgia's "great talent pool, high quality of life and low cost of doing business" is helping Hi-Rez expand. With this new 4,000 square feet expansion to its headquarters, and the aim to tip the company's employee count over 100 by next year, Hi-Rez says that it will be better equipped to provide content and reach its customers.
