Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and LittleBigPlanet 3 developer Sumo Digital has made some new hires, with the studio bringing in Ian Livingstone CBE and former Codemasters executive producer, Kats Sato.
Livingstone, best known for his work at Eidos and Games Workshop, has been appointed non-executive chairman, while Sato will take up the role of development director.
“We're absolutely delighted to welcome Ian on board during this exciting time for Sumo, his experience will add tremendous value and will really help us to move forward with our strategic ambitions," said Sumo CEO, Carl Cavers.
The UK developer is currently expanding in the UK and India following its split from parent company, Foundation 9 Entertainment. Sumo was bought by Foundation 9 in 2007, but decided to part ways with the firm after receiving backing from private equity outfit, NorthEdge Capital.
Sumo is currently working Xbox One exclusive Crackdown 3 and Disney Infinity 3.0.
