Ignition Games on Friday confirmed that it opened a new North American headquarters in Marina Del Rey, CA, where the company will execute publishing duties for adventure game El Shaddai. The company said the new office marks a "renewed commitment to expanding its publishing pipeline." The opening of the new headquarters comes after the company, a subsidiary of media conglomerate UTV, had closed down its main U.S. office in Glendale, CA, to consolidate all U.S. staff to Austin, TX. Ignition's next major game is El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, an adventure game developed by Japanese artist Sawaki Takeyasu (Devil May Cry, Okami). The title is due to launch in North America on July 26 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Ignition Games is also publishing Vanillaware's upcoming PlayStation Vita and PS3 multiplayer action RPG Dragon's Crown and the Nintendo 3DS titles Planet Crashers 3D from Renegade Kid and Fractured Soul 3D from Endgame Studios.
