Newsbrief: A free-to-play mobile studio headed up by ex-Zynga staffers today revealed that it raised $2.54 million in funding to create "mid-core" games aimed at men aged 18-35. JuiceBox Games is a San Francisco-based studio with 19 employees, that recently releasd HonorBound for iOS, Android and Kindle, according to the Wall Street Journal. The company says that it has been using the $2.54 million cash injection to create the game, and is now planning to use the remaining cash to start work on two more mobile games.
