Social games company Kabam is looking to take advantage of its current positive financial situation, announcing this morning that it has acquired San Francisco-based studio Phoenix Age.

Newsbrief: Social games company Kabam is looking to take advantage of its current positive financial situation, announcing this morning that it has acquired San Francisco-based studio Phoenix Age. Phoenix Age is best known for creating free-to-play RPG titles like Castle Age and Underworld Empire. The 44-staffer studio is currently working on a third unannounced title. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Past acquisitions by Kabam include Wild Shadow Studios, and Fearless Studios.
